Athletes Section
In this section we will
interview not only some of Middlesex County's best runners,
throwers, and jumpers of past and present but some of New Jersey's best.
Wilfredo Rivera, Head Coach South Brunswick
Hefinished 5th at the 1996 MOC in the 1600 for the Old Bridge
Knights, losing to some notable famous Jersey runners, Matt
Elmuccio of Westfield and Steve Slattery of Mt. Olive. Since
then he has gone to turn the South Brunswick program into one
of the GMC's finest, starting as an assistant coach and then
eventually taking over the program as head coach.

This
past fall the Junior had a breakout season and is one of the
top returnees for next year's Meet of Champions.

Carolyn Lipovsky, La Salle
University
She burst onto the running scene her freshmen year
in 2000 by placing 7th in the GMC Cross Country Meet. She then
went on to have one of the most successful high school careers
in county history. Her senior year she finished 1st in the 800
& broke the 21 year old county record.
